Dina has been reimagining, designing and styling since pre school. At age four she would fashion her mother's wedding peignoir set into dresses, skirts and gowns then dance and lip synch in full costume (Fiddler On The Roof was a smash success by the way).
As she grew and could reach shoes, purses, jewelry and clothing her styling and "re-imagining" continued. Mom had been the head buyer at Stern's Department Store in Manhattan and now had a shop in Great Neck, NY where Dina was able to play with spare buttons and fabric remnants in the back room all day (Heaven... seriously... you keep the Barbie, give me the buttons)!
After graduating from Parsons School of Design with a degree in textiles she began work in the garment center as a designer and colorist. During this time she continued to build her personal style searching for the unique, bold, colorful, personality driven items that represented her best. If no one else had one.... Dina probably did. Betsey Johnson, Patricia Field, Stephen Sprouse all had a big presence in the Village and Dina would spend hours shopping (even if just by window).
Fast forward to marriage and kids. Both children were diagnosed with Autism at pre-school age so Dina quit her job and worked for her children for four years until they were ... recovered (yes, it's a thing, but that's another "ABOUT"). When both children were able to attend school it was "back to work" for Dina, but what did that look like?
My children are now 24 and 25 years old, a mechanical engineer (the girl) and a data analyst (the boy) and mom.... sells jewelry
